Applications

Typical of DTE composite catalyst elements is a stack shaped alternating placement of flow straighteners and catalytic activated layers in housing. Especially in process water cycles of ceramic industry to produce sanitary ware in the presence of hydrogen peroxide the application of DTE composite catalyst elements enables to increase the life time of reverse osmosis membranes by catalytic oxidation of polysaccharide-based additives by factor 7 to 10.

Likewise DTE composite catalyst elements are applied successfully to oxidize methyl cellulose or methyl tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE) in aqueous solutions practically completely.

Advantages of DTE composite catalyst elements:

  • The catalytic layers are fast exchangeable when they are inactive.
  • After replacing of the catalytic layers the flow straighteners are reusable.
  • A channel formation which occurs in fills, for example, can be avoided by an excellently flow behaviour.
