Advantages of these membrane elements:
- The membrane elements are arranged form-locking in the corresponding membrane module. Further on the contact pressure of gaskets does not affect the membrane element respectively the membrane surface. This construction excludes membrane breakages, particularly ceramic membranes.
- Fast replacement of membrane elements.
- Excellent sealing of permeate and retentate space. Such a tightness could not be achieved by conventional O-ring seals.
Membrane elements with plane seal faces are available as complete membrane modules respectively membrane units. By selecting of suitable materials these membrane elements are appropriate for high-purity applications in the biotechnology, pharmacy or medical technology.
